1. What is Photo-Tex?

Photo Tex is a new, patented, adhesive backed fabric that can be easily
placed anywhere and then removed and reused as desired.
 

 
2. What makes it different from any other adhesive?

Photo-Tex adhesive will not leave a sticky residue against 99% of any surface. It does not rip or wrinkle. Its not paper, it’s a fabric with a patented coating and adhesive for safe hanging/removing numerous times.
 

3. What other features does Photo Tex carry?

It can be illuminated with a backlight, be wrapped around wall corners, ceilings and poles, re-positioned and re-used over and over again, actually the adhesive never weakens. Who is using Photo Tex? Everyone is using this material!

4. What should I keep in mind when shooting or selecting my photo?

Take a few minutes to make sure your photos are clear, sharp and in focus. Remember that the better the image you provide us, the better your Wall Smacks will look. If the image is blurry or out of focus, it will not be printed!

Photos should be taken in a well-lit atmosphere. If there are shadows cast on your subject they may show up on the print. Most cameras take better images in natural sunlight and produce much richer and colorful prints. Indoor images also work well, but please make sure there is a good amount of light.

Try to avoid relying on your camera's zoom function when you take your photo. The closer you can get to your subject without having to zoom in, the better.
Make your subject at least 50% of the photo. Avoid cutting out hands and feet.
The higher resolution the better!
 

5. How should I configure my camera to get the best picture for my Wall Smacks?

We recommend using a camera that is at least 4MP (megapixels) or greater. The more megapixel’s your camera has, the better the image. Set your camera for the highest resolution. This is usually done under the "settings" of the menu section of your camera. If in doubt, you can always consult your manual. Be sure to use the highest possible setting, as it gives us more data to stretch your image into a Wall Smacks. Try to avoid taking your photo using the “zoom” function. The closer you get to the subject without using zoom, the better. When you use the zoom feature, the image loses data.

We request a file size of 2048x1536 pixels. If you have some experience with cameras, you should know how to verify this. If not, don’t worry about it. Your file size should be just fine if you've followed steps 1-3. Do not change the resolution of your photo. Please send us the original file. If possible, take your photo vertically and try not to cut off any part of the subject, like feet or arms.
 

6. Do you offer editing of images or graphics? (Color correction, photo restoration, logo design, etc.)

We do. However in an attempt to offer you reasonable pricing this is not included in the pricing displayed for each product. Due to the labor involved for these type of edits/changes we must charge an additional fee of $65.00 per hour.

 
7. What file formats do you accept?

8. How do I know if my image will work?

The subject in your photo, at a minimum, should encompass 50% of the entire image.If the image does not meet this requirement the quality when enlarged will appear pixelated and blurry. You should also follow the guidelines set below for resolution requirements.

 
9. What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?

Digital camera images require a minimum resolution of 2048x1536. This resolution is available on any camera with a megapixel rating of 3 or more. Simply set your image capture settings to the highest quality. Scanned images require a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 8"x10".
Remember – the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image.
Use the following reference chart to determine print quality for your image.

 
10. Will I need the liner my Wall Smacks comes on or the shipping tube for any purpose?

You should save your liner and shipping tube in case you need to move or store your Wall Smacks. If you need to move your Wall Smacks and did not save your original backing you can put it on wax paper.

11. What payment options are available?

Wall Smacks accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

12. Do you allow changes to an order?

Due to the quick turn-around times we can only accept changes or cancellations within the first 12 hours you place your order.

 
13. Can I cancel my order?

Yes, but only within the first 12 hours that you have placed your order.

This site is very secure. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

As an additional layer of security, all credit card numbers provided to Wall Smacks are not kept after your order is processed. If you choose to return your Wall Smacks, you will have to give your credit card number again to receive credit.
